Congratulations to Jerode on his 1000th find! This is a puzzle cache that he (and others) will enjoy solving, as it involves quite a few things that he likes to do, or has done. You WILL need to do some work on this BEFORE you go out in the field. The final is NOWHERE NEAR the posted coordinates. In fact, it is many meters away. The verifier is a 30' radius.
Please don't go to Brunot's Island; it is just a place on a map that has nothing to do with the puzzle.
Note to those who might find some flaws in this call-for-fire mission script: Some elements, such as Gun Target Line and Time of Flight have been removed because they will not make sense in context of this puzzle. Also, this is based on a Navy/Marine Corps script. Army personnel may find some differences, but the essential elements are the same. Units not specified are standard defaults. Some units are given to an accuracy that would never be transmitted in the field. This is a 4.5. Figure it out. :)
