Geocache Description:




Frya airport is located just north of Ringebu. It was built in 1984 and was put into service the year after by Lillehammer Glider Club. It has been in use ever since, but in 2003 the company Frya Flyplass AS was dissolved and Gudbrandsdalen Airplane Club has been running it since.

The cache is a small magnetic Bison tube holding only a log- no pencil, bring your own. It's located slightly away from the airport itself due to insecurities about the future of the airport and the existence of any infrastructure in a couple of year's time.
