The field on this corner occasionally pastures half a dozen or so llamas. The woolly critters seem quite at home in this small fenced field on one of the busiest corners in this small town.
There's plenty of room to park well off the street and quite close to the cache. Both north and south bound bus stops for the CVTD's Commuter North line are within a few yards of this cache. This side of the street doesn't have sidewalks, but the ground near and approaching the cache is covered in gravel.
You might want to wear gloves for this one. Also, beware of punctureweed (Tribulus terrestris). This nasty noxious weed has done a number on previous geocachers' bicycle tires and bare feet.
Congratulations to SRL&CAL for an amazingly fast FTF -- in the dark, too!
This cache is part of the series, MountainHobbit's Mathoms, Year 4. Don't know what a mathom is? Check out Chapter 1 in the Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien to find out the reason for this hobbity celebration!
