Moved from the original hiding place because it just wasn't secure. Small container with room for only tiny items. Bring your own pen.
One of our “Memories” series. You are at the site of the former 1,000-car Airway Drive-In movie theater. It was built around 1949. The theater's screens and concession stands were torn down in 1986 after the theater closed, according to Wehrenberg Theatres, which bought it in 1974. But the neon majorette, twirling a baton, still blinks, now inviting passersby into a shopping center. Date night at the drive-in—two or three movies in one night. We even used to go in the winter! We’re so glad they saved this sign.
