Geocache Description:

Cache is hidden at a public beach access in North Nanaimo. The terrain rating only applies to the rocky beach and the last few metres of the journey. You do not need to climb far on the big rocks but please be careful as the rocks can get VERY slippery! Cache might be tide dependent and may be difficult to reach at really high tide.

Aside from geocaching, birdwatching is another passion I like to share with people. Many caches are already hidden at great locations for viewing wildlife but I'm trying to find a few more to share. At this location I have seen many birds such as cormorants, loons, guillemots, oystercatchers, mergansers, geese, bald eagles, turkey vultures and many gulls including bonapartes gulls in breeding plumage. Other wildlife like seals, sea lions, sea otters, dolphins and the occasional whale can be seen here. I would enjoy reading notes about any creatures that you see when you visit this location.

Cache is a small camo'd lock n lock. Watch for muggles and rehide cache carefully.

FTF prize is a $5 giftcard. Happy caching!
