Took a little hike along the campground trail and came to the end
of the trail.
This place was very lush and had its own little ecosystem. It is
like a little jungle in here complete with ferns, huge banana slug,
even saw a scorpion. This would be a great remote/rugged campground
spot in the summer heat, especially when the lake is down. I
imagine the creek here runs year around? Not quite sure how the
stove thing worked, very intriguing. Tried hiding a large cache
here but just could not seem to make it work so we went with a
micro. Our GPS was having difficulty trying to work out here, not
sure if it was our unit, which has been acting up for some time, or
the tree canopy. It is in the picture.
The terrain rating is based on you need to have a boat to get
there and in anticipation of the lake dropping for the summer. Once
you are at the site and if the lake is at the treeline as it is
now, the terrain is probably a 1.5 – 2.0. Please give me
feedback on this.

Thanks, and, Enjoy!
