First in a series along 2 miles of the Fall Creek Trail. Park at the trail head lot on the NE side of the bridge at Rd 1828.
This section of trail has always been one of my favorites and when the Clark Fire raged a few years ago, I hoped this area would be spared. When the gates finally opened, I went up and found most of my old route intact. This series of caches runs through some magnificent old growth fir, cedar, and maple to the edge of the burn.
This cache is dedicated to geopup extraordinaire Zuko, who never took the predictable route around a situation. He was the happiest dog I've ever known, so I take that as very good advice.
You can take the regular or alternative route to this cache, I'll leave that up to you. I always take the wrong path from the parking lot, and if you do that, too, you'll walk right by this cache. If you take the main trail, look for the side path to cut in shortly after you leave the lot. Cache is closer that way.
You're looking for a large Lock n' Lock container near the side path. The coordinates were not so good on this rainy day, so the hint is a spoiler.
Zuko leaves his canine friends with one more word of advice: Don't eat the fish.
