800 Line Traditional Cache

I've placed this cache on the old railroad grade once called the 800 line. This was the primary connection from the forests in the Satsop and Wynoochee valleys to Simpson Mill 5, and onto the main Simpson plant located in downtown Shelton.
The rails most of the way to Mill 5 were removed in the middle 80's including those that made up the old 600 line. That railroad link branched to logging community at Camp Grisdale, that was closed in the middle 80's and removed a few years later.
There has existed for years a major gravel road that logging trucks use as a detour to Mill 5. It runs parallel to the old grade. Weyerhaueser, Simpson, and other private logging operations use this roadway.
