Geocache Description:

A great chance to meet fellow cachers from Cardiff and the surrounding area
.....and cachers from as far as Austria and America too!

Post Event News:-

  • Von-Horst's name was first out of the hat giving him the “First to Find” privilege!

  • The raffle was really well supported – thanks to all those who brought tickets and prize goods.

  • Between the “First to Find” draw and the raffle, £65 was raised towards the 2011 Wales Mega Event in Swansea.

  • The Wales Mega committee really appreciate our efforts.

A caching event is a chance to meet established and new members of the caching community. With several new cachers appearing in the local area, Pat and I think this is a great chance everyone to put faces to names. All visitors can sign the event log book and log the event as per a “normal” cache.

The local caches can be seen here.

Meeting in

The Heathcock, 58/60 Bridge Street,
Llandaff, Cardiff, CF5 2EN
on Tuesday July 13th,

we have exclusive use of the bar room from 1800. “Pub Grub” type food is available from 1730 until 2000. Meals cost around £5-£6. You do not have to eat, but please indicate how many meals you require so we can warn the landlady a day or two before. You can indicate your requirements in the drop down box “Will attend”.

How do we know who you are? Visitors usually wear a simple home-made badge with their caching and real names on it. If you haven't got a badge, we will have some stickers and a pen. This will also be a chance to bring along any travel bugs or geocoins. These can be either “discovered”, or you can take them for placing in your next cache finds.

When we were new to caching, we had loads of questions to ask. If you are still finding your caching feet, come along, ask those questions, share a drink and have a laugh. If you have been caching a while, come along and share your experiences and stories.

You may, or may not know, that the South Wales cachers are organising the 2011 Mega Event. They may well take the opportunity to raise some money for the Mega Event , via a raffle this evening. Any donated gifts would be greatly appreciated. Just bring them along.

Fancy a “first to find”? For just £1 you can enter our “First to Find” draw. Enter your name, pay one pound and if your name comes out of the hat at 19:30, you can be the first to log this event. All proceeds to the Welsh Mega Event. Click below for more information about the Mega Event.

.

We are looking forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions, do send us a message via our caching profile.

Pat and Dave
