At this square you will find two springs
that rise from the Zechstein and provide
together about 3 litres per minute
of a mineral water, which includes
sodium, calcium, chloride and sulphate.

Archeological discoveries confirm that
already in the Stone Age humans
and animals used this water.

Attempts from the Middle Ages to win salt
at this location were also confirmed.

Zechstein...
...is the last time period of Earth's
antiquity and forms together with
the younger Rotliegend-Formation
(New Red, Upper Carboniferous to
Middle Permian Age) the Permian.
In the English language are
both terms (Perm, Permian) usual,
the term Zechstein is only valid for
the Upper Permian in Europe.
The Zechstein-Formation began
about 255 million years ago and ended
about 240 million years ago. (Border
Perm to Triassic, permotriassic).


To log this cache you have to do the following tasks:
1. The chemical composition of the
Steinborn-water is similar to what mineral
springs (two cities are called in the text)?

2. Where archeological excavations took
place (a place of worship)?

3. What is the name of the river, in which
the water of the springs flows?

4. From what year is the wooden riser tube?

5. The Permian is formerly known as?

6. What is the Zechstein and
how is it arose?

7. Please send me an email with your
answers. Make a photo of your GPS-Unit
at the spring.
If you want, make a photo of you at the
spring (with your GPS-unit).

An diesem Platz findet ihr zwei Quellen, die
vom Zechstein aufsteigen und zusammen
pro Minute ca. 3 Liter eines Mineral-
wassers liefern, welches Natrium,
Calcium, Chlorid und Sulfat enthält.

Archäologische Funde bestätigen, dass hier
bereits in der Steinzeit Menschen und
Tiere das Wasser nutzten.

Belegt sind auch Versuche aus dem
Mittelalter, hier Salz zu gewinnen.

Zechstein...
...ist die letzte Zeitepoche der Erd-
altzeit und bildet zusammen mit
der jüngeren Rotliegendformation
das Perm.
Im englischen Sprachraum sind
beide Begriffe Perm, Permian gebräuchlich,
der Begriff Zechstein ist aber nur für
das Oberperm in Europa gültig.
Die Zechsteinformation begann vor
ca. 255 Mio. Jahren und endete vor
etwa 240 Mio. Jahren. (Grenze Perm
zu Trias, permotriassisch).


Um diesen Cache zu loggen, erfülle bitte folgende Aufgaben:

Heilwasser-Quellen (genannt sind im Text
zwei Städte)?

2. Wo fanden archäologische Grabungen
statt (Andachtsstätte)?

3. Wie heißt der Fluss, in den das Wasser
der Quellen fließt?

4. Aus welchem Jahr stammt das hölzerne
Steigrohr?

5. Das Perm wurde früher auch genannt?

6. Um was handelt es sich beim Zechstein
und wie entstand er?

7. Bitte sendet mir eine Email mit euren
