I much prefer hiking/caching in the woods during the fall or winter as you avoid tree cover issues with the gps and more importantly, no mosquitos to deal with. So far this year, mosquitos have not been an issue, which is why we chose to go biking/caching in the woods today. Well...it appears the skeeters have hatched as we were attacked a few times while we searched for some caches. We were wearing repellant but that did not seem to bother these blood suckers.
This hide is just barely off the trail and if you are on a bike, you can probably hop off, find the cache and hop back on your bike before the mosquitos can really feast.
You are looking for a small square shape tupperware container covered in cammo tape. There is no pen but this container could hold very small TBs.
