This is one of numerous caches now being placed at the Kortright Centre for Conservation and one of six I'm placing along less-frequently travelled trails. These are easy finds and family friendly. Kids bring trade items. you might also see deer near this cache.
There is an entry and parking fee but there's lots to experience here.
Kortright was once a farm and has several remnants of stump fence lines. Stumps were used by the pioneers as convenient fencing materials during periods they were clearing fields. This cache is in such a fence.
Container is 1.13kg. plastic camo'd nut jar.
Suggest you obtain a trail map at the main building and go out the 'Power Trip Trail' to trail post HH. (N. 43 49.814 W. 079 35.215) Trail south will take you through a pretty section of mature maple and beech trees then across a meadow. Length of this hike might be too much for the very young and difficulty of terrain rating would be higher. Parents should make a decision before venturing out. Enjoy!
NOTE; THIS CACHE WAS PLACED UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION OF PARK STAFF. PLEASE USE THE PROVIDED TRAILS AND VISIT THIS GEOCACHE ONLY DURING PARK HOURS.
CONGRATULATIONS to Streg13 (aka Team Hebi) for FTF !
