The container is about twice the size of 35mm film case which
should make things a little easier. There is a field with a lot of
donkeys in just along the path so if you have some spare carrots I
am sure they would enjoy them.
If you have not already done the multi-cache "Cache 'n' Curry" and
plan on doing it whilst you are doing this one I would recommend
you do that one first!!! The reason will become clear. My Mom and
Dad wanted to buy a Siamese cat and they went to the cattery to
look at some kittens. When they got there there was only one kitten
left, and looking at him it was obvious why, he had the biggest
ears, really long nose and was really lanky.... basically he was
Ugly and so everybody else had rejected him. They were about to say
"Sorry, we'll leave it" but then my Dad caught him looking at them
and it was love.....at second sight. So we acquired Bobby, who was
quickly renamed Ugly Pugly. Whenever we now see anything that is
little.... 'unusual'.... we comment that it has a bit of the
'Pugly' about it. The tree I have selected for this hide definitely
has a bit of the 'Pugly' about it!! Part of a series of 9 caches on
a 3.5 mile walk through the beautiful Staffordshire countryside.
The walking is very flat but there are 3 or 4 stiles that you will
need to climb. The walk in not suitable for a pushchair as it is
uneven in places and also quite narrow, a couple of people have
tried it on a bike which has also apparently proved problematical.
You will mainly be walking on footpaths but there is one section
which is along a rather busy road (as you approach 'waiting for the
112'). I have checked all of the footpaths on OS maps. Other than
'Ugly Pugly' (which has caused some problems) they are all 'fairly
easy' and should take less than 5 minutes each I have attached a
map of the full route but you will notice that the suggested
parking is in the middle of the walk and they can easily be split
into a 2.0 mile and 1.5 mile route. The suggested parking is on
gravel outside a farmhouse, last time I parked there the farmer
asked (politely) if i would move my car to either end of the gravel
rather than in the middle to make it easier for lorries to turn
into his farmyard.
