Geocache Description:

When placing this cache they were stipping the turf on the local fields which made me wonder where it was going....as a football fan and knowing the problems we are having at our great national stadium I wondered if it was "destined for greatness", perhaps it was even heading for a local team that plays in claret and blue, now that would be an honour!!!

Part of a series of 9 caches on a 3.5 mile walk through the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. The walking is very flat but there are 3 or 4 stiles that you will need to climb. The walk in not suitable for a pushchair as it is uneven in places and also quite narrow, a couple of people have tried it on a bike which has also apparently proved problematical. You will mainly be walking on footpaths but there is one section which is along a rather busy road (as you approach 'waiting for the 112'). I have checked all of the footpaths on OS maps. Other than 'Ugly Pugly' (which has caused some problems) they are all 'fairly easy' and should take less than 5 minutes each I have attached a map of the full route but you will notice that the suggested parking is in the middle of the walk and they can easily be split into a 2.0 mile and 1.5 mile route. The suggested parking is on gravel outside a farmhouse, last time I parked there the farmer asked (politely) if i would move my car to either end of the gravel rather than in the middle to make it easier for lorries to turn into his farmyard.
