Make Tankers 20 Traditional Cache
Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Welcome to my third cache hide. February 7, 2009, later named
Black Saturday, the worst bushfires in living memory ravaged the
state of Victoria, resulting in the deaths of 173 people. Hardest
hit were the towns of Kinglake and Marysville, 70km and 62km NNW of
this location and this cache is dedicated to the volunteers and
emergency service personnel who faced natures fury on that tragic
afternoon.
This location shows the scars of the Bunyip Ridge fire, that
originated from a lightning strike on Feb 4 in the forested hills
you can see to the north. On Black Saturday, as a volunteer
fire-fighter, this is where our crew was on the day. A few metres
to the south of the GZ is where a burning tree came inches from our
truck, showering us in sparks... less than 1 km to the north is the
caravan park where we saved a few structures and lost one cabin...
the BP Service Centre on the Princes Highway is where I was taken
by ambulance to Warragul Hospital at about 9pm... Cache is an ammo
box. It initially contains several toy fire engines, a log book and
pen. Feel free to drop off any fire related swaps or TB's or GC's,
although there is a designated TB Hotel nearby.
