Geocache Description:

It is 1909 that Turumai Park was made.
The Nagoya's first municipal zoo was born in a garden in 1918 nine years later.
The zoo was opened from a southwest corner, the south side of the existing land sports stadium of the current park to the west.
250 kinds of breeding animals gathered 800 points of majorities.
It was got close to a citizen for about 20 years till I moved to Higashiyama Zoo in 1937.
The cache is covered by around gateposts of the old zoo.

鶴舞公園が出来たのは1909年です。

9年後の1918年には園内に名古屋初の市立動物園が誕生しました。

動物園は現在の公園の西南隅、現陸上競技場の南側から西側にかけて開園されていました。

飼育動物は２５０種８００点の多数を集めていました。昭和１２年に東山動物園に移転するまで、約２０年間市民に親しまれていました。

キャッシュは旧動物園の門柱近くに隠されています。
