This cache is hidden in the old entrance to the woods that lie at the bottom of some stone steps. Warley Woods (now named Holly Woods) used to serve as a recreational area when Warley Hospital was operating as an asylum from 1853 to 2001.
The railings and gates have long since eroded, but parts still remain, and the paths that pass through the woods have recently been renovated to allow easy access. History of Warley Hospital can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warley_Hospital The buildings that remain from the hospital are now luxury apartments.
