Another of the easy, traditional, family-oriented caches I'm introducing at the Kortright Centre for Conservation. Hike to the cache is flat and can be extended to do another cache on the eastern margin of the property to the south. There is an entry and parking fee but there is lots to see at Kortright, which recently, has been expanding its renewable energy technologies along its 'Power Trip' trail. suggest you visit the main building to get a trail map. Bring trade items for the kids to swap.
There are numerous species of cherry trees in Canada. Some, such as the Choke and Pin cherries, grow in sunny areas with rich soil and often along fence lines, cleared land and bordering wooded areas. Not a dominant tree type at Kortright, this little cluster is a gem. Hint won't be needed. Enjoy!
NOTE: THIS CACHE WAS PLACED UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION OF PARK STAFF. PLEASE USE THE PROVIDED TRAILS AND VISIT THIS GEOCACHE ONLY DURING PARK HOURS.
Congratulations to FANGLYFISH for the FTF.
