How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The Cache is on private property with the business owner’s permission. The business owner is also a friend of mine, so “as always” please respect the property.

When you re-lock the door, please make sure the red marks on the lock are facing out, and hold the lock shut as you spin the tumblers to ensure that the Travel Lodge is properly locked properly between visits. If the red marks are not facing out it makes it difficult for the next cacher to open.

This cache is located in small town in southwestern Montana; I grew up in this small town. I hope that this cache will bring people here; folks who may have just driven by on the freeway now have a reason to stop by and visit this quite little corner of the world.

The cache is just off of I90, Interchange 288; travel bugs should enjoy their stay in this roomy container.

The cache can be accessed anytime during daylight hours. Attempts to find the cache late at night may result in the cache seeker being reported to the local constable as suspicious activity.

You will not be able to avoid being seen at certain times with the pedestrian traffic at this location, but you will just get curious looks from the locals because they don’t know what you are doing. Also the cache can be placed where it is, because there is a secret code required to access the contents. These numbers will grant you access to the Travel Lodge: 0 5 2 9 (top to bottom). When you re-lock the door please hold the lock shut as you spin the tumblers to ensure that the Travel Lodge is properly locked properly between visits.

I hope that while you visit the cache you will stay a spell and enjoy refreshments while you learn some history of the town that is Manhattan, Montana.

CACHE UPDATE: 05/26/2014 After four years I decided to update the Lodge with a permanent resident the discover only “NTL Discover Travel Tag”. if you are able to "decipher" the code you may discover this bug. Please don’t grab or move this bug as it lives in this cache.
