Geocache Description:

Micro bison hidden inside a larger, irregularly shaped object (maximum dimension just under 8 inches). Less than one mile from Tilden Nature Center. No need to remove the bison completely; you can open it without detaching it from the container. Bring a tool to retrieve the log and pen/pencil. Not wheelchair accessible.

When I was a kid back in the 50’s & 60’s, one of the things I really enjoyed were Saturday afternoon movies on our black and white television. Among my favorites were those featuring mutant life forms generally caused by an atomic bomb explosion or some mad experiment gone wrong, always hushed up by the government, of course.

Shortly after enjoying some of brianweeks caches, I found some interesting items that reminded me of those old movies as well as of his caches. This cache is the first in what I hope will be a series of tributes to this movie genre.

At GZ, you are pretty much off the trail and mostly out of sight of muggles, but exercise due caution anyway. No poison oak and no bushwacking when the cache was placed, but I have marked PO and tick attributes anyway.

Be sure to reassemble the cache after signing the log and replace it exactly as you found it for the next cacher to enjoy.
