I placed this cache to celebrate the, now retired, racing career of Australian Troy Bayliss (Born in Taree, Australia, 30 March 1969).I called it “AWESOME” as this was one of words he typically used. During his career Bayliss won the World Superbike Championship three times, as well as the British Superbike Championship and a MotoGP race, all with Ducati. He finished his career after winning the 2008 World Superbike title.
His 52 World Superbike victories are second only to Carl Fogarty. He is one of the most prolifically successful Ducati Superbike riders of the last few years.
Recommend you grab this cache on a clear day so you can see the great views which overlook the city of Paderborn and the surrounding areas.

Ich habe diesen Cache ausgelegt, um die World Superbikes-Rennkarriere des Australiers Troy Bayliss (geboren am 30. März 1969 in Taree, Australien) zu feiern.
Troy Bayliss gewann auf seiner Ducati 1098 die World Superbikes Meisterschaft drei Mal sowie auch die British Superbike Meisterschaft und ein MotoGP Rennen. Er beendete seine Karriere 2008 mit einem Sieg in der World Superbikes Meisterschaft.
Seine insgesamt 52 Siege wurden nur durch Carl Fogerty übertroffen. Dieser ist der erfolgreichste Ducati-Superbike Fahrer der letzten Jahre.
Mein Cache heißt „awesome“, weil dieses Wort nicht nur eines der meist verwendeten von Troy Bayliss ist, sonder auch, weil es am cache site den Ausblick über Paderborn und Umgebung sehr gut beschreibt – am besten an einem klaren, wolkenlosen Tag.
