The wind tower is a SHORT lookout tower designed in the shape of a traditional CHINESE fishing boat.
Visitors can go up the tower’s stairs to view the unique scenery of the Aberdeen fishing harbour from a higher point.
LED lights and solar photovoltaic panels have been installed on the Wind Tower. The colours of the LED lights will change automatically according to the wind speed detected by the wind sensor, and the solar photovoltaic panels can collect solar energy for conversion into electricity which will supply power to brighten the LED lights at night, There energy efficient installations are devices to achieve green targets.
