Geocache Description:

Kätkö on perustettu entisen Resenkovin rinkelileipomon edustalle. Rakennus on yhä olemassa, mutta valitettavasti rinkeleitä sieltä ei enää saa. Resenkovin voirinkelit olivat kuuluisia ja niitä haettiin kauempaakin. Monesti suositut rinkelit loppuivatkin jo ennen myymälän sulkemisaikaa.

"Venäläiset Eudogim ja Matrona Resenkoff tulivat perheineen Haminaan vuonna 1890. Nimi muuttui muotoon Resenkov. 1900-luvun alussa perhe perusti leipomon ja myymälän Kasarminkadulle, joka oli tuolloin Haminan kuhiseva kauppakatu. Rinkelit leivottiin vielä viime aikoinakin puuarinauunissa 100-vuotisella reseptillä."

The cache has been made opposite the former Resenkov bakery that made butter bagels. The old building is still there, but unfortunately the bakery and its products are not anymore. The bakery and its bagels were famous and people often came to buy them even from further distance. It might also happen that the products were sold out before the bakery was supposed to be closed.
