Geocache Description:

Hidden on a stretch of the Teesdale Way.

A pleasant spot to watch the River Greta rush into the slightly more temperate waters of the River Tees.

Relax on the limestone terraces laid down in the Carboniferous period 250+ million years ago which have been steadily eroded by glaciers and rivers ever since.

Do be careful not to fall in! It would not be funny just here.

This spot is just by Rokeby Park (visit link) belonging to the Morritt family: distinguished by its neo-Palladian house which once was home to the famous painting of Venus by Velasquez that now hangs in the National Gallery, London. (visit link)
