Geocache Description:

Quite some time ago as a novice backpacker I met Photom & another of our buddies, Steve. I was out for a drive and I came across this really huge nest with a really large bird in it that I had never seen before. So I took a picture of it and emailed it to Tom & Steve and asked the question is this a small eagle or a large hawk. Shortly there after I received a reply from Steve that said he didn't know. I got a reply from Photom with pictures, and an encyclopedia reference. The bird in question is called an Osprey. An Osprey is a raptor and feeds on fish in the local water ways and lakes. The nests are very large and made of very large branches and not twigs. Photom had a cache here and recently archived it but this is such a neat place and it so cool to see the Osprey when they are here, or just the nest when they are not, I decided a cache should be here. Hope you like it.
