Geocache Description:

This cache was placed for the 2010 BCGA Blitz

A wonderful trail system connects the three lakes at Champion Lakes. This cache is located at the north end of First Lake.



The trail starts from the Second Lake boat launch parking (the coordinates given), and forms a loop which follows the East shore of First Lake. The trail to this cache goes to the northeast corner of First Lake, where Landis Creek flows out of the lake. The trail also connects to Second Lake Loop trail, which follows the shores of Second Lake.

The first time I hiked here I was a bit surprised to see this sign...seemed like a funny thing to be here, since it's pretty obvious that the trail ends without the sign.



Unfortunately, this cache will no longer be available in the winter. The trail is relatively flat and pretty well-maintained in summer, though you may encounter some deadfall.
