A wise geocacher will park in the designated spot. The rest of you
will park at Smith Crossing.
Paradise is just that. If can mentally shut out the sounds of
distant traffic you might just convince yourself that you're in the
mountains of BC. There are many places to explore.
This is the actual meeting of the Whitemud and Blackmud
ravines. The two creeks gave Twin Brooks its name.
I suggest you park in the designated parking lot in Twin Brooks.
You can then walk though the park to the trailhead. It is steep at
times but take it slow, especially if wet. Hang onto the kids
because the trail follows a ridge with the steep edge in places.
Once you make it down the trail, your GPS will point the way. There
is a faint trail you can follow which goes along the banks of the
creek. Once in the area you should have no trouble finding the
cache.
For those of you who must start at smith crossing, you will need
hip-waders, or a swimsuit. In the winter you can indeed part at
Smith Crossing.
First to find prize is a brand new, still in shrink wrap, DVD of
Happy Feet. An appropriate title if you didn't park at Smith
Crossing because your feet will still be dry.
