Geocache Description:

The above co-ordinates will take you to the Refuge Tree just outside Juan De Fuca Provincial Park.

The Ancient Forest Alliance is trying to get this tree and the other large trees surrounding it protected.
One of the AFA's founders, T.J. Watt was driving to Port Refrew when he suddenly saw this tree off the side of the highway. He pulled over and bushwacked to it and sure enough, it was a large tree! Worth a stop indeed!

The first person to get a picture of themselves inside the tree gets a drink, courtesy of me. That is, if you can fit!

Parking
Park at N48 28.988 W124 15.626 and walk south 30m or so to the barrier. You should then see a faint trail up through the broom. Go down a quick slippery slope and then follow the orange and pink flags to the tree.
