Centennial Series of the Boy Scouts of America for the Sam Houston Area Council
This location was expected to open in 1996 but eventually opened in 1999 for the use of scouts in the Sam Houston Area Council for events such as Camporees, Day Camp, Family Camping, and Webelos Do Your Best - as well as training facilities for education.
Dedicated to H.E. Bovey Jr. who spent most of his life working with the scouting program from the 1920's on past 1982. Council President, Committee member who participated in acquiring the land for the new Camp Hudson, Camp Strake, and others.
