Take the time to get off the highway for a few. Warning: These are unimproved gravel roads with low-water crossings. Stay on the highway if it's been raining a lot!
We placed this near the exit for one of our favorite caches, GCP8FN Shamrock Cafe. It is a few miles down the road from this one. This should add some motivation for other cachers to get off at this exit and enjoy the sites and hides. Have fun!
Please respect the roads and local property owners and pass on these if there has been a lot of rain.
Another warning: Apparently, the highway patrol has a little setup going on occasionally here. If you see signs warning of a "drug check ahead" either stay on the highway or be prepared to explain what you're exiting for. It's really a clever setup and I almost feel bad spoiling it, but I feel an obligation to warn my potential finders. It shouldn't be a big deal, and no one has ran into serious issue with it, but they will ask you some questions if you pop off at this exit during their operations.
