Triggur's Woodland Walk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Triggur: Sigh... It's gone. One of my favorite caches, too.

They put the road in, they thinned out the trees, and now it seems to be a small homeless encampment.

I'd love to find a similar stand of trees to place another one, but they're so very rare around here :-(

Geocache Description:

This is a peaceful grove of young trees with nearby parking northwest of Windsor, Colorado.

Woodland faeries abound here. The trees? Most definitely haunted.
Faeries are most active at night, so this might be most enjoyable for brave souls with flashlights!

Bring the dogs, there's plenty of bark to go around (just don't scare the faeries.. they're notoriously skittery).

This is a small cylindrical cache about 7" long and 3" diameter. It is quite well camo'd.

Please screw the lid back down firmly and restore the camo around the cache.

This location could use a little CITO love; it seems kids use this area for biking.

EDIT JULY 5 2010: Since the maps of this area haven't been updated in a while, it's hard to figure out where to park.

Turn north from highway 392 (Windsor's Main Street) onto 17th Street, which goes north past the garden nursery.

Cross the irrigation canal bridge and park on your right at the little gravel pull-off behind the road barricade. You should find a path into the woodlands from here. Enjoy!

As of this writing, the Google Maps map and satellite view for this area are quite old and do not reflect actual roads/etc.
