Kieler is an unincorporated community in the Town of Jamestown in Grant County, Wisconsin. It is located about seven miles northeast of the Iowa-Wisconsin border and about four miles southwest of Dickeyville, Wisconsin. This proud little town is the first community to welcome adventures to Wisconsin who are traveling the US 61/151 corridor from South to North.
The community was named after John Kieler, an immigrant from Prussia who arrived in the area in 1855. This vibrant little gathering of citizens exemplifies the true meaning of community with its many volunteer groups which include a volunteer Fire Department and EMS system. The first Sunday in October showcases Jamestown’s Annual Fireman’s Parade which balloons the town to more than three times its actual size for that day. The Parade is a celebration of Volunteer Fire and EMS units from throughout Grant County and Northwest Illinois. Stop and enjoy the picturesque surroundings of this beautiful rolling hills part of southwest Wisconsin.
