Let's Go To Church 1 - Resurrected Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

svosen: This cache has been damaged several times in recent months. I'm archiving it since it's been around for quite awhile. Time to make room for a new cache in the area.

Geocache Description:

Let's Go To Church 1 is a resurrected cache. It was originally placed in the bushes on the south side of the building, but renovation work during the summer of 2013 destroyed the hide location and the cache container/log. We adopted the listing and, since it was destroyed, hid a new container in a new location on the same property.

ORIGINAL CACHE DESCRIPTION:
Saw a bunch of these in Louisiana and figured I would bring these to MT. Should be a quick grab w/o much trouble. *********Congrats to Owl Cricker for FTF****************

NEW CACHE DESCRIPTION (January 2014):
This is a revival of a cache placed by another cacher. We've attended this church since 2003, but we first learned of the geocache during the summer of 2013. Shortly after finding it the first time, we saw that it was destroyed during renovation work at the property. Since it was up for adoption, my kiddos wanted to take it over and “resurrect” it.

Originally a micro under a bush (two attributes we're not overly fond of), we decided to remake this cache into a more kid-friendly cache since we were having to completely replace it anyhow. It's freshly stocked with a new log and some good kid-approved swag.

This was hidden with the intention of being found easily, and the hide location should offer considerable privacy – unless it's Sunday morning. The new location and container have been approved by the maintenance manager of the Church (thanks, Pastor D!), and we got the new coordinates from three separate waypoint averages, so it's all good to go.

New Coordinates: N 47˚ 32.348; W 111˚ 17.382
