Geocache Description:

~ The old "Wiarton The Gateway" sign was removed 2012 ~

"Wiarton, a small town on Hwy 6 on the way north to Tobermory, calls itself the 'Gateway to the Bruce Peninsula'. It's other claim to fame is, of course, Wiarton Willy in whose honour the town holds a festive weekend around Feb. 2nd (groundhog day). The town is situated on Colpoy's Bay and many sailboats and yachts call it home in the summertime. To the east of the main street is Bluewater Park - a great spot for camping or a picnic. The old Wiarton train station in the same area is a tourist information office.
-------------- Please remove and replace cache carefully. Happy caching" Text from "RevJack" Gateway Micro
