Built in 1118, the Order of the Temple of Solomon or the Knights Templar, it quickly grew, and became enriched powerful throughout Europe.
Even after missing the last Christian stronghold in the Holy Land in 1291, and hence its primary mission (to protect Christians in the Holy Land), such was the power that they had reached, which was allowed to continue the order by Pope Innocent.
Sixteen years later, under strong pressure from the highly indebted King Philip VI of France, also too indebted to the Order, Pope Clement V, agreed that the Knights Templar were attacked and extinguished.
It was thus that on the morning of Friday 13 October 1307, hundreds of monks were killed treacherously Templars, some even burned alive.
Although fast and merciless attack from Philip VI suffered a setback: the Templar fleet that was anchored in France has mysteriously disappeared and took with her the secret that the Templars had dug up the ground in Jerusalem and had long been protecting.
It is said that, enjoying strong protection in Portugal, the fleet has led to our country. In fact, in Portugal, the fate of the Templars was quite different from the rest of Europe.
Given the Pope's orders to exterminate the Order and its members, King Dinis ordered to examine allegations that the Templars were the target, and before the conclusion of innocence of the members of the Order, the Portuguese king smart, a skilled diplomatic gesture, he dissolved the order and confiscated all his property.
Sometime later founded the Order of Christ, who then donates all goods and concessions previously confiscated from the Templars, and which joined the ancient Knights of the Temple of Solomon.
Thus, Portugal became a Templar stronghold, where the Order has spread around the world aboard the Portuguese caravels of Discovery, arrived in Brazil in 1500.
From all this it remains a question:
Where is the Templar treasure that sailed from France aboard the fleet on that Friday the 13th?
-Did it came to Portugal? -Is it still around here is? -Was it taken to Brazil?
