Many Moons Ago.......
 
 
An UFO landed near this spot collecting animals for experimentation. While here, the UFO People located a Hippie Van and kidnapped the occupants along with their belongings. One of the occupants, a Bright Young Man, saw the UFO coming and hid in the engine compartment along with an Alligator Lizard he had caught earlier that day. When the UFO left and took all of his friends he came out of the compartment. The Bright Young Man watched and waited for several hours wondering if his friends would be returned. While waiting he had become quite fond of the little Alligator Lizard but knew he couldn't keep it. He took the Alligator Lizard to a nearby hillside and released it.

A few moments later he heard a rumble from above and saw a Space Ship clumsily flying through the sky, nearly crashing at a spot near the Hippie Van. Rays of bright white light were seen coming from the Space Ship. The Young Man jumped behind a rock to avoid being hit by the rays of light but the Alligator Lizard wasn't so lucky. One of the rays of light struck him, immediately turning him to stone.

As quickly as it had appeared, the Space Ship vanished back into the sky. The Young Man returned to the Hippie Van finding all of his friends setting in their seats with no idea of what had just happened to them. The Hippie Van would not start, one of the rays of light from the Space Ship had struck it, melting the tires and engine. The electrical system had completely burned up and the steering was fused. Everybody in the Hippie Van elected to abandon it and walk the eight miles back to town.

Many moons later, the Bright Young Man became the 40th President of the United States. Remembering his experience with the UFO he decided to order the creation of the Star Wars Program. He will be remembered as one of our countries greatest Presidents.
