Many Moons Ago.....


I was setting here at this spot talking on my cell phone when a car pulled in next to mine. I noticed the car had New Hampshire plates on it. The driver rolled down his window and asked directions to the Ferris Mountain Ranch. I told him to go on up to Lamont, go on past Lamont about 3 or 4 miles to the first big mailbox on the right. Turn right at the mailbox, go past the first cattle guard to the second cattle guard and on down the hill. You will drive right to the ranch.

The driver was quickly writing my directions down and said, “What color uniforms will the Cattle Guards be wearing?”

I laughed and told him, “Green.” as I drove away.
