On April twentieth 1972 Astronauts John Young and Charles Duke landed on the area of the Moon known as Descartes becoming the ninth and tenth men to walk on the Moon.Ken Mattingly was the command module pilot.Young and Dukes stay on the Moon was almost three days long and they explored over fifteen miles of the lunar surface.
This is the fifth in my series comemmorating the fortieth anniversary of the Apollo Moon landings.First finders prize is the mission patch.
