Harvesting
the Wind and Sun is no new idea it has been around for many years.
With today's ever changing and improving technology new and
innovative ideas of harvesting the solar and wind power is shall we
say coming to light!
At this
location you will see first hand a prototype lighting system that
uses local renewable energy and reduces emissions of greenhouse
gases.
This pilot
project of the hybrid power system, combined with low energy lights
will serve to test the viability of the Innoair 600PV and the 80
watt solar photovoltaic panel. These devices store energy from the
wind and sun to a battery pack that powers the light from dusk to
dawn.
If found to
be successful, you may find this technology being deployed
throughout the lower mainland.
The cache is
a small container which logs a logbook and small trade items and/or
geocoins and/or TB's
Be careful
as this is a high muggle area especially on the
weekends.
