A log-only micro hidden at a great spot for photos or a quick break on a nice and mild hike.
Hidden in the same location as the former 1st Stage of Mountain Masquerade (GCMDTC), this was one of the few remaining Overlooks at Wintergreen without a Geocache! The container itself is not a typical cache container...and may require some searching and creativity. Listed as a 3.5 for difficulty. Also there are two places to start this cache from. I've listed the parking coords as the easiest place to go from, however you can park and walk from Overlooks of Wintergreen #4: Wintergreen Overlook (GC22CRM) or at the start of Wintergreen's TB Hotel (GC23MYH).
From this balcony, you are looking straight down one of Wintergreen's more difficult ski trails, Upper Cliffhanger, and straight out at the George Washington National Forest, with the Stoney Creek Valley to the right of that and Wintergreen's condo ridge to the left. Enjoy the view!
