Geocache Description:

This cache is situated just outside of an historic apartment cooperative in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Dedicated in 1962, the event was attended by US President John F. Kennedy, the first time a US President attended a housing development dedication.

The purpose of this development was to provide good housing at a moderate cost. Sixty-five percent of the development is open space -- gardens, walks, grass, trees, play space for children, and sitting areas for adults. Lots of green spaces in this village within a city.

The area is bordered by W 23rd Street to the south, 9th Avenue to the west, W 29th Street to the north, and 8th Avenue to the east.

Cache is a micro, and stealth is required. Please replace cache exactly as found. Bring your own pen / pencil to sign log.
