Placed with permission by the Osceola County Conservation Board
Native prairies are quickly becoming one of Iowa's scarcest natural resources. Fortunately, here in Osceola County, five remnant prairies have been preserved. During the summer growing season, tall warm-season native grasses and over 200 species of wildflowers provide a kaleidoscope of colors in these unique natural areas. They are rich in wildlife and make excellent hiking and nature study areas.
The Cache is located along the trail into Walter’s Prairie. If you have the time to explore this is truly a magnificent place.
The cache is big enough to hold trade items and travel bugs, enjoy the cache
Congratulations to bucknuts and olkb for first to find!
Happy Hunting
Oh by the way you should wear a long sleeve shirt or you will come back with geo-stripes.
