On the Island (No more!) Traditional Cache

This is an easy find in a neighbourhood park. There are many trees here and also a playground nearby for the geo-kiddies. Parking is easy.

I used to come here a lot when I was younger. At that time, the area around the island was filled with lots of water. It was impossible to get on the island and we never used to go there. Access is now available during the Summer months. It has also become a popular playing spot where all kinds of adventures happen. As you drive to get to gz the geo-kiddies might like to keep a look out for the street signs in this area that are named after birds.... and also the streets signs a few blocks away, that are named after trees!

The cache is a mint tin with room only for a log. Please bring a pencil to record your visit. Do be careful when looking for the cache as this is a replacement cache after the previous one was muggled.

The site of the first cache was originally on the island. It was also my very first hide. This one is close to the island but not on it and at least it will now be accessible all the year round. Hope you enjoy! :)
