Der Schafberg bildet seit 1890 die
Grenze zwischen 17. und 18. Bezirk in Wien. Die Höhe des "Berges"
beträgt 390 Meter. Der Südhang ist mit vielen Einfamilienhäusern
bebaut, der Nordhang hingegen bewaldet und bietet einen tollen
Blick über Wien.
Der Cache:
Nachdem die ursprüngliche Dose
abhanden gekommen ist, musste dieser Cache nun zu einem Micro
degradiert werden. Von der Cache-Location hat man einen super Blick
über einen großen Teil von Wien. Er befindet sich auf 384 Metern,
also fast am höchsten Punkt. Dieser Cache ist auch in der Nacht
einen Besuch wert! Man kann dort echt verweilen und
genießen.
Parken kann man
ungefähr an diesen Koordinaten: N48°14.271 E016°17.801. Bitte nicht
weiter hinten parken auf der Straße, da die Anwohner da eher
sensibel sind.
Vom Parkplatz ist sind es etwa
450 Meter bis zur Dose. Dieser Weg kann nur zu
Fuß oder mit dem Rad zurück gelegt werden und es geht
bergauf. Allerdings ist das Gebiet Spaziergängern, Läufern,
Hundbesitzern, usw. sehr beliebt, sodass bis zur Cache-Location
ausgetrampelte und nicht zu übersehende Wege führen.
Die Dose verfügt über eine spezielle
Aufhängung, damit man sie nicht so leicht sieht. Bitte nicht
herausreissen, sondern vorsichtig runter nehmen und danach wieder
genauso platzieren, wie sie ursprünglich war.In dem kleinen
Doserl ist nur das Logbuch und ein kleiner Bleistift

The "Schafberg" has been the border

The cache is now a film canister, as
the larger one has vanished once. From the cache location you have
a beautiful scenic view over Vienna, as the cache is located 384
mts above sealevel, which is almost the highest point of the
"Schafberg". It can also be visited at night, which is also nice.

You can park your car at: N48°14.271
E016°17.801, but do not park beyond that point as the people living
there don't like people to use all the space.
From the parking you need to walk or
go by bike approx. 450 meters to the cache location. And you need
to go uphill! As the area is frequented by a lot of people
running,walking or taking their dogs for a walk, there is a path
leading directly to the location.
The cache is attached in a special
way to better keep it from sight. Please be careful when grabbing
it and replace it the same way you have found it. It only contains
a logbook and a small pencil.
