Chukar Ridge has one of the most stunning views of the Okanogan valley that you'll ever see. To the north you can look up the river toward Omak, across is Jackass Butte, and below is the city of Okanogan. It truly is a beautiful patchwork. At this point there isn't much traffic in the area since this housing development stalled after the economy tanked. One fun thing to note is what is currently spelled out across the way on the butte. Sometimes it is the initials of a local who has passed, but most often it is the year of the most recent graduating class or the year of a recent reunion class.
Since the cache was placed the area has grown. There are many new homes in the area, but the view is still beautiful.
Update 2014: the newest home up here and right above the cache location belongs to a colleague. If she's home and notices you searching she may ask if you want help or not. Her husband was a bit worried about people wandering in the weeds below, but once it was explained he is good with it. I'm sure he thinks his former 3rd and 4th grade teacher is a bit loony. ;)
One warning -- be sure to stay within the speed limit heading down the hill. Locals are frequently ticketed there. LOL
