This cache is a magnetic 35mm film pot. Sorry, the final cache is not accessible to wheelchair cachers.
Did you know that there is a pillbox on the top of Bishopstone railway station?
You will see a view of it from the nearby road if you click on Google Maps, below, and then click on the marker (A).
You can find more interesting information by searching Bishopstone Station pillboxes and PillBlogs Newhaven Defences.
Please note that there is a stream near to the final location so please keep an eye on small children, especially if they are wearing new wellies.
Parents will know why this is. :-)
To find the cache you must:
- find one of the number plates of the nearby footbridge over the railway line to the platform below;
- identify the seven numbers (n/N) on the sign, i.e. STS nnn and NNm NNch;
- let the numbers equal STS abc and DEm FGch;
- then let:
N = [E - G] [a - E]° [c - D] [c - G] . [c] [c - D] [E]
E = [ b ] [F] [E - a] ° [F] [c - D] . [c] [ b ] [c - G]
Quick check:
If the final cache is more than 1000ft (350m) from the start then you or I have got the formula wrong.
Good luck to the FTF.
