Yaremche is a splendid town in Ivano-Frankivsk region which is located in the central part of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. Today it is a famous tourist centre of Prykarpattya. The picturesque river Prut flows through the town washing the rocky banks. There is one of the most well-known Carpathian waterfalls Proboy in the centre of the resort, it is 8m high. You can watch from here how the Prut River throws off tons of water into the narrow stone bowl, which was created by nature itself. If you are lucky enough, you will see people jumping into the whirlpool of the waterfall from the bridge, which is a fascinating sight
A busy souvenir market is also situated nearby, here you can buy amazing works of local craftsmen. As well as you can visit wooden made Hutsulshchyna restaurant in. The Hutsulshchyna restaurant looks like the most famous place: lots of celebrities, such as famous French actor Gerard Depardieu and President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, had dinner over there.
The cache is located nearby all these attractions, on the left bank of river Prut, from where the view to waterfall is the most beautiful. The cache itself is lock-lock container with logbook, TB for FTF and some regular trading items. Coordinates could be a little inprecise, so folow the path which starts at N 48 26.496 E 24 32.622 and seek for few big and old lime trees on the right side of path. Cache is under one of them, in the roots, covered with rocks.
Happy caching!
