This is my first cache i have made alone, so if you find any
problems, let me be informed.
Vanilla
WoW is what World of Warcraft players is used to call the oldest version of WoW.
It was the time when WoW: The Burning Crusade or WoW: Wrath of the Lich King
wasn't invented yet.
In WoW there are 3 ways to improve you character in when you have reached max
level.
You could either be a raider and kill very hard bosses(PVE). Or you could be a
player and kill other players (PVP), and the last option is to be a farmer and
buy all your equipment.
If you have chosen PVE, which means Player versus Envorionment, you still have 3
choises (Depends on class) to do. You could either be a tank, a healer or a DPS.
A tank is a player who takes all damage that the bosses or other monsters do, so
they have often the most HP (Hitpoints ).
A healer is player who uses his/her spells to heal other players which are
injured and do not have full HP, they often have alot is mana (Regent for
spellcasts).
A DPS (Damage per second) is a player who is focused on dealing damage, much
damage.
But you cant just say "I am a DPS", because there are 3 ways to do
damage, Melee, spell ranged or ranged. You need to know what way the class of
your character deals damage, because every class has it own way of dealing
damage and has it own spells to use.
If you have chosen PVP, which means Player versus Player you will only have 2
choices to make. Healer or DPS (If you want explanation about DPS and healer,
read the PVE part.)
In PVP you dont need a tank because you can't force a player to attack you like
a monster
in PVE. The only thing you really need i MUCH HP, so it taked longer for the
enemy players to kill you. In PVP there are 3 plases to kill enemy player in,
BG's (Battlegrounds), Arenas or in the world.
A battleground is a plase where you are either required to capure flags, get
resourcers or NOT lose resourcers. in BG's there are a limit of 10, 15 or
40players.
A arena is a place where there are battles in teams of 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5.
In world you can kill what player from another faction whenever you find one.
BUT it is needed to be flagged for PVP, or you can't kill him/her.
Whenever you kill a player you get honor points which are good for buying new
and better equipment.
If you have chosen the last option, Farming. You have chosen the most
boring way (According to me) to upgrade your character. By farming menas that
you do something over and over again to get money to either buy or create
equipement to you character.
Thing you can farm is mining ores, harbalism flowers, skinning dead beasts or
killing monsters for cloth. when you have farmed enough materials you can sell
or create potions or other improvements for your character.
When it comes to items in WoW.
There are many classifications of how good the item are. When you get a new item,
the first thing you check is the colour of the item. There are 1. Poor 2. Common
3. Uncommon 4. Rare 5. Epic 6. Legendary. The second thing you check on the item
is the stats, which are Strength, Stamina, Spirit, Intellect and Agility. But
while checking those stats you should also check the other stats, which are
Critical stike Rating, Haste Rating, Spell Power, Attack Power, Hit Rating,
Dodge Rating, Parry Rating, Block Rating and Armor. There are also a last thing
that you can check if you wantto. The resitances in the item. The more
resistance the item have, the less damage will you recieve from that form of
damage, (Holy, Shadow, Fire exc...).
All of theses questions are about Vanilla WoW (At the end of WoW Vanilla, before The Burning Crusade)
