My 1st Cache placed.
It is placed near to a local woodland walk between Cumnock and Auchinleck which runs alongside Lugar Water. It's placed along here for no other reason other than it's a nice woodland walk. The name? there's a wee pirate on the cache box!
It is a circular walk of around 45 minutes, using the trail and the main road path. the cache is about half way around the trail walk.The roadside path section is only around 10 minutes walk.
There are 2 options for parking/start points
Auchinleck start - Easiest parking is at the Supermarket, then walk down the main road to the garage, just beyond the garage, on the same side, is the entrance to the trail at N55 27.862 W004.17.267.
Cumnock Start - Park at Visions Leisure centre N55 27.638 W004 16.282. Trail is beside the river at side of sports field. follow this trail.
Co-ordinates are where the cache is, there is tree cover so may be slight error.
The cache is carefully placed, please take care to replace it exactly as before.
Initial contents include ; Log, 2 pencils,blue pen, Geocache letter, Folding ruler, Black frog, Red Snake, A Wee Blue Monster and for the FTF a £5 Asda Gift Card.
I have listed this as stroller and wheelchair non accessible as the off trail part isn't suitable and part of the trail has tree roots across it and the trail has some steep-ish parts.
