Geocache Description:

Small lock-n-lock just off a beautiful trail.

I read a lot. I've also gotten in the habit of naming pets after literary characters. So far my Betta Fish have had names like Thea Elvsted, Alcee Arobin, Vittoria Vetra, and Minerva McGonagall. So, in that vein, I have decided that I will be using names of literary characters as the names of my caches. General Jinjur is introduced to us in L. Frank Baum's, The Marvelous Land of Oz, as the commander of an army of girls against the Emerald City. When asked why she would like to conquer His Majesty, she replies with the following speech. "Because the Emerald City has been ruled by men long enough, for one reason," said the girl. "Moreover, the City glitters with beautiful gems, which might far better be used for rings, bracelets and necklaces; and there is enough money in the King's treasury to buy every girl in our Army a dozen new gowns. So we intend to conquer the City and run the government to suit ourselves." You'll have to read the book to discover how she fared in this war. The cache is currently stocked with green army men as well as a bit of 'bling' in honor of General Jinjur. Enjoy!
